The second CF-Boiler-Steam boiler project involves the supply of a 4.5 MW model ATC450 boiler for a major family business, Leahy Orchards. This company, which is involved in food processing, mainly for cooking apples, processes more than 250,000kg of apples for the daily production of apple sauce for their private label and other generic brands.
This ultra-modern project delivers 15,000 lbs/hr of steam at 125 PSI for 24-hour production. The boiler has been designed with a modern control room and includes all remote viewing and control equipment for optimal supervision. It is equally accessible with a portable tablet and with a distance remote control.
To ensure substantial autonomy while having minimal space for storage, Leahy Orchards used the latest innovations of Compte-Fournier being the establishment of Top Loaders. Both Top Loaders consist of rail-mounted scrapers that bring forest chips and clean construction residues onto a ramp and that unloads into a conveyor. This configuration reduces civil engineering costs and minimizes the space required for the chip reserves.
